APCU closely cooperates with scientific (educational) institutions, public organizations as well as with state and local government bodies in order to increase the competitiveness of cosmetic products and promote the sustainable development of the industry as a whole.The Association acts as the representative of the national cosmetics industry in relations with state structures, fulfilling the functions of the secretariat of the Technical Committee -171 on the issues of industry standards.The Association has created an expert environment and has a leading role in creating a normative and technical base in Ukraine.Association has become the voice of the cosmetic industry at the international level and is a member of the International Association Collaboration (IAC), which brings together the cosmetic associations of the world in the project Global cosmetics and personal care Industry. The partnership with the leading cosmetic association of the UK – the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA), is promoting the industry’s continuous development, introducing modern cosmetics safety standards, timely and professional support for exports to the APCUs participants.
MISSION
Contributing to the sustainable development of the cosmetic industry and consumer market of Ukraine through the systematic introduction of European requirements for the safety of cosmetics and good manufacturing practices.
PURPOSES
- Creating a unified information base of technical regulation and standardization of cosmetics in Ukraine and other countries of the world
- Development of manuals, instructions for participants to implement on the production requirements of new technical regulation and GMP
- Creating of mechanisms for interaction with the competent authorities of technical regulation and market surveillance
- Creating of a roadmap for export of Ukrainian cosmetics to worldwide markets
- Providing quality content and professional assistance to participants in export issues
- Promotion of ethical principles in the cosmetics industry
- Organization of events for personnel and industry development
BODIES OF MANAGEMENT THE ASSOCIATION OF PARFUMERY AND COSMETICS OF UKRAINE GENERAL MEETINGS OF PARTICIPANTS
The supreme governing body of the Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine is the General Meeting of the Participants. It`s competence is to resolve the main issues and establish the main directions of the Association’s activities.
On January 30, 2018, by the General Meeting of Participants was elected the personal membership of the Board of the Association and the Audit Committee for a term of 3 years.
THE BOARD
The Board is a constantly active collegial executive body of the Association, which carries out general management of the Association’s current activities during the period between the General Meetings.
