For the first time Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine received a grant from international partners for the organization of the Ukrainian stand! The grant included not only co-financing but also preparation for participation and support of companies by qualified experts before and during the exhibition.

Five Ukrainian companies participated in the national stand: Astra Сosmetic, 2K, Tube Plant, ED Cosmetics, and Acme, in addition, 3 companies participated in the training and support of grantees at the exhibition: KT Cosmetics and Idea Shop as visitors and KODI with bright and professional individual booth.

TRAINING

The training included a series of meetings with participants (joint and individual), providing access to an online training platform and a one-day workshop in Bologna before the exhibition.

During training, a wide range of topics was covered with practical exercises:

• How to effectively organize the work of the team at the exhibition, life-hacks with tools for keeping track of potential partners, how to prepare samples and what must-have presentation materials for successful participation;
• How to conduct professional sales negotiations and prepare an “elevator pitch” so that attention is drawn to your company;
• How to communicate with potential buyers after the exhibition and not lose a client.

The learning platform provided access to materials related to the formation of a value proposition and a unique selling proposition of a brand, which is key to finding customers at an exhibition where competition is very high.

MATCHMAKING

sequa gGmbH specialists prepared for each company a series of meetings with potential customers at the exhibition, having previously studied the Cosmoprof participant base.

In addition, companies were able to consult with their coordinators before, during, and after the exhibition, thanks to which they received a truly invaluable and unique experience.

As a result of the joint work of sequa gGmbH specialists and APCU companies, more than 300 contacts were made at the exhibition.

The national stand is organized within the international cooperation project ReACT4UA (“Utilization and Implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine in the field of trade”), that is financed by the German Government. The project aims to improve competitiveness and resilience of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises, especially with regard to EU accession. The strategic implementer of the project is the German federal company “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH”. The international partner for implementation is the German organization sequa gGmbH and the local partner is the Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine.

According to the results of the cooperation of the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Nazovni, special conditions were worked out for the participation of the national stand.
