About technical committees for standardization
Technical committee for standardization is a form of cooperation of interested legal entities and individuals in order to organize and perform work on international, regional, national standardization in certain areas of activity and on the fixed objects of standardization. Organizational support for the activities of technical committees of standardization is provided by their secretariats. The TC consists of 17 collective members, 10 of which are members of the Association.
To the powers of technical committees for standardization include:
• participation in the work of relevant technical committees for standardization of international and regional organizations for standardization;
• development and harmonization of national standards, codes of practice and changes to them;
• participation in the formation of the program of work on national standardization;
• review and revision of the national standards and codes of practice they have developed;
• agreeing and submitting proposals for the abolition and restoration of national standards, codes of practice and changes to them;
• providing appropriate clarifications on the provisions of national standards and codes of practice adopted by the national standardization body.
The order of the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine dated 21.11.2014 №1415 in accordance with Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On Standardization” established a technical committee for standardization TC-171 “Products of the perfume and cosmetics industry”. Association “Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine” is authorized to perform the functions of the Secretariat of the TC-171.
The TC 171 is assigned a sphere of activity in accordance with the DC code 004:2008-71.100.70 – cosmetic products and personal hygiene items and standardization objects – production of perfumes and cosmetics and perfumes and cosmetics.

TC-171 working program
The primary task of TC-171 is:
• proposing the abolition, changes or development of national standards in cooperation with enterprises – users of standards, in particular with consumer associations, testing centers (laboratories) and certification bodies, other stakeholders;
• consideration of proposals for changes to existing regulations or their revision or repeal;
• consideration of proposals of interested parties (any natural or legal person who has a direct or indirect interest in the activities in the field of standardization and the application of its results) to conduct work on national standardization.
