Draft Amendments on Cosmetics Regulation Published

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has published a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine titled “On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 65 of January 20, 2021” (hereinafter – the draft resolution).

The draft resolution proposes, in particular:

• updating the lists of substances in Annexes 2–6;

• harmonizing the requirements for CMR substances with European regulations;

• revising labeling requirements: adding new allergens that must be indicated on the label, allowing the use of INCI names without mandatory Ukrainian translation, and retaining the terms “parfum,” “aroma,” and “nano” in INCI format.
