The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supported a business initiative to extend the transitional periods for placing chemical products on the market that do not comply with [1] the Technical Regulation on the Classification, Labeling, and Packaging of Chemical Products, and [2] the Technical Regulation on Chemical Products.

The Government’s website has published a draft resolution titled: “On Amendments to the Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 539 of 10 May 2024 and No. 847 of 23 July 2024.”

The adoption of the resolution ensures that businesses have sufficient time to properly prepare for compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations.

In addition, the dissolution of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources necessitated its replacement in the texts of the Technical Regulations with the Ministry of Economy [as the legal successor].
