Professional dialogue and expert support: key outcomes of February events

In February, the Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine held a webinar on recent developments in cosmetic regulation, as well as a working meeting with representatives of Cosmetics Europe.

Webinar “Cosmetic Regulation: Updates”

On February 13, the Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine held a webinar for APCU members dedicated to recent changes in cosmetic product regulation.

The event brought together representatives of APCU member companies preparing for the implementation of new requirements and the adaptation of their business processes in line with current legislation.

During the webinar, the following topics were discussed in detail:

  • preparation for compliance with the Technical Regulation requirements;
  • updates and review of legislative changes in the field of cosmetic products circulation;
  • labelling requirements;
  • the product notification procedure on the relevant portal;
  • practical issues faced by companies during the implementation of new regulatory provisions.

Particular attention was given to the Q&A session, during which participants received practical clarifications on the application of regulatory requirements. We thank all participants for their active engagement and constructive discussion.

APCU continues to provide expert support to its members in the process of implementing new regulatory requirements.


APCU Team Meeting with Representatives of Cosmetics Europe

A working meeting was held between the team of the Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics of Ukraine and representatives of Cosmetics Europe, the European trade association of cosmetic product manufacturers.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Technical Regulation on cosmetic products in Ukraine, as well as the current challenges faced by companies during the practical implementation of new requirements.

Particular attention was paid to the proposed reduction of the transitional period by the Government Office. The parties also exchanged updates on product notification, safety assessment approaches, labelling requirements, and the harmonization of Ukrainian regulations with European standards.

APCU representatives outlined the key challenges faced by businesses and emphasized the importance of methodological and expert support during the transition period.

The meeting marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian and European professional communities and will contribute to further coordination of positions regarding the development of cosmetic regulation in Ukraine.
